Hei and tach problem

I've searched on here and still can't find a solution.Done the tach conversion about 4 years ago no problem with tach. Had a 700r4 installed about 2 months ago and redone my gauges, now tach won't work. Will not move when I turn switch on everything else seems to work fine. Rechecked all the wiring, found nothing, pulled dash back out all looks fine.
Could it be:
1. Bad tach
2 Bad circuit board
3. Bad distributor cap
Also have Painless wiring harness installed last year and tach worked fine.
Will appreciate any and all help.
Thanks,
Dave
