Lowering options for the rear

I have a 72 C10 SWB that is currently lowered in the front with 2.5" drop spindles and 3" springs. Rear is 5" lowering springs with 2" lowering blocks.
The rear suspension is very short and "bangs" over minor bumps. I have been told to c notch the frame with a kit to improve the travel. Is there options other than bagging that will improve the ride without cutting the frame?
