New headers.....wth?

. Got "free" headers from a buddy. Cleaned them up put them on. Exhaust shop said cant help you. These are 2 wheel drive headers and your truck is a 4 wheel drive. Ok since they were free I thought I would just put my manifolds back on. Oh wait turns out they are cracked. Ok for the price of new manifolds I can buy new headers. So I did.... For a 4 wheel drive as well. Well now new headers are rubbing my yoke under breaking. WTH? My buddy says if I lift my truck it should be a non issue. I plan too eventually. Sucks to have to do it now just to make new headers work. I could torch bend them but should you need to with new, correct, headers?

Question is, is this usual? To have to " tweak" new headers to make them work ? Also I am ending up with a passenger side dip stick now and a plug that requires a custom socket to ever change again.

Truck is 89 v3500. Headers are headman. Headache is all mine.
