Engine Painting

Hello, i recently pulled my Chevy 350 out of my old 1985 chevy truck. I traded the truck with no motor straight across for a 1971 chevy longbed (i like this body style better). The 1971 had a seized 350 in it. Anyways, i have the motor out and am im the process of cleaning/degreasin it before in put it in the 71. Should I just get all the access paint off and paint over the old paint or should i strip the paint? also, should i prime it or just spray chevy orange?
