Fuel line and ignition anti theft?

I've been wondering today....LMC used to (might still do) sell a switch to isolate the battery one could install under their dash to make their truck a little harder to steal. I came with a little key.

Could one do that with the fuel line? Run it say under the seat and install a key-lockable valve to turn the fuel line off?

Thoughts?
