Along with what LockDoc said, a unit from the boneyard is probably going to have that screwy advance curve from the "ported vacuum" days. So you would need to be able to fix the advance too.
This is one of the factors that brings a lot of guys here with timing problems. It's not that I am in favor of the off shore stuff, but the old "factory" stuff is no prize either.
