thermostat housing help - 79 k10

Hey guys I need some help here, im replacing my thermostat housing on my 79 k10.

I did some searching and did not find what I was looking for.

It has the 350 in it and right now it has one of those chrome thermostat housings on it.

I got my original replacement and it has two holes on top of it. One is threaded and the other is not.

I have seen that the EFE sensor goes in the threaded one, how about the hole that is not threaded?
