2005 z71 suburban(stock) cooling system issues
i think i may be kind of "special" but how does one bleed the air out of the cooling system.
its a fully loaded but stock 2005 z71 suburban, stock 5.3l i know my blend motors are good as i have ripped the dash out to verify and check. my heater core is acting like it has an air-lock... little to no heat. i was bored so manually checked even though my buddies scanner activated all motors. he says you live in florida... you dont need heat... idiot! everything was fine until i had to put a new water pump ans t stat in last spring and thats when i started to get the "no heat" situation. but living in florida i am not so worried about it... but now its bothering me and must be fixed! the feed hose to heater core is hot and the return is warm(not as hot)... i just checked the rear heat for kicks and giggles.... nothing its ambient temperature... odd that they get fed by same feeds.... hmmm also i have burned about 1/2 gallon of dexcool in a year...no visible leaks. put dye in it for black light. no evidence on the spark plugs either... also no signs of exhaust gases in coolant either, this i think may be a bad pressurized cooling cap. engine runs strong no codes no real issues... in fact i would drive to california tommorow and not think twice... thanks in advance.
