Sun Pro gauges

Does anybody else have a problem with sunpro temp gauges? I'm on my second one now the first one quit working altoghether and this one here i think is reading high all the time. Even after sitting all night the needle won't drop back down all the way. It sits on like 180. when it just sits and idles it'll work itself up to 230 and i just put a new 4 core radiator in it with the 1995 thermostat. I'm hoping to hell that damn gauge is just bad. anybody know if you can test them things somehow?
