Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Wow, really coming along!!!

Keep moving, in mid April next year there will be a huge 50th anniversary party in Charlotte, NC. You have 8 months! I haven't taken pics but my interior mods are about done. All the 3 points are in (front and rear) and it's all back together except the dash, going to take that back apart to repaint it. The rear axle is leaking a lot. I'll be pulling that apart, but I hope to wait until the cruising season is over. Been putting a lot of miles on it. With the A/C the wife loves riding in it again. She even wanted to take it to Clemson and back last weekend (2 hour round trip.) I never got the electric fan installed, I pissed off the DC Controls guy and never got my part, so I tweaked the crap out of everything and kept fine tuning the timing and I've gotten it to where it just gets above 210 in traffic with the A/C on, which people on mustang forums say is "normal" or "ok" for these cars. I still want to get my electric fan, I've just got to come up with a better controller option. Right now, DC Controls is the only "good" reliable controller for the ford two speed fans.

Also, I love VA. Compared to my truck, it does take longer to get the car cool (much larger area) and when the sun beats down on the car with all clear glass windows, it does take a bit for it to get started, but once it gets cool in there it will freeze you out. After the initial cool down, I never had it above half way it was so cold. It would be a big difference if my windows were tinted, but I think it would kill the look of my car.
