Yes raising the float will allow more fuel in the carb When I rebuilt these carbs , I would adj the float level a little less than level. which would allow less gas in the float bowl. This would help and maybe even help gas mileage. If your are drag racing you want the float a little higher. But not 3/8 of an inch.
Does your carb have the 2 air screws in the front? Some of the later Q jets had them blocked off. Hope this helps. The parts house should be able to tell you from that number what it came off of. Rich my build http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=576185 |
