New Guy: It all started with a barn find...

Got a call from a farmer friend of mine about an old truck he wanted to sell for scrap. A few weeks went by and I dropped by to take a look at the truck. What he had was a 1966 GMC 4000 which had been parked in a barn for the last 30 years. I looked it over and found one small rusted area on front of the hood. No dents and no damage. I bought the truck for scrap price and went straight home to start research. My plan is to restore this truck into a flatbed to pull my gooseneck with my 1972 John Deere 4320. I am looking into plans to convert this old truck into something a little more road friendly. Any advice is appreciated.
