Driveline phasing

Hello Everyone

I got my motor mounts in the mail yesterday, and I plan on welding them in tomorrow. I have some questions regarding motor placement. I read this page,
http://jniolon.clubfte.com/driveline...nephasing.html
and it has helped, but I have a 2 piece driveshaft and I was wondering if the same rules apply.

Also, how much could move the motor over towards the passenger side?
I'm concerned if I line it up straight, the exhaust manifold will hit the steering box.
What is your guys' experience on this?
