What is the right dash set up???

The shift indicator gauge on my '73 automatic was broken. I took the column apart to find out it was a broken plastic part on the gauge cluster. So I went to the junk yard and grabbed another.

Got it home and found out it was for a different set up and did not have the correct holes for lights and plugs. Went back again and looked real good and found one that looked like it would work. Got it home and realized that the oil pressure is electric and not mechanical. I decided to keep it and just drill a hole. This meant swapping the flat electronic card in the back. After doing that I hooked everything up and now the parking brake light comes on with the headlights.

I'm getting frustrated because as some of you know this is not the easiest part to swap. Any advice?
