Is the '54 frame tapered at the rear?
So I got the bed off, and started taking a few measurements. I have a diagram that says the frame is supposed to be 36" wide. I have that under the cab, and back to the axle, but then it narrows. I'm guessing what I feared is true when I first saw the bent crossmember.
It did pop out a rivot, but I just want to be sure about the frame width at the back of the bed. Any suggestions to re-set the frame?
