Want to start my bag project. Need help.

Ok guys I'm really reaching out here. I'm in the Navy and currently deployed. I'm saving up some moola to get my '65 the way I want her. I plan on starting the project when I get home and I don't know where to start. My internet ability is really limited and it's taken me almost an hour just to post this. I've done a few searches but it's so frustrating I've given up and turned here in hope. I currently have c-notches in the rear and converted the front to disc brakes from an 80's C-10. I really want to bag her out and z the frame to lay rails but that may have to be later. If I buy a set up now and do that later will I have to buy new parts? I also don't want to come home and just start ripping stuff off of the truck with not knowing what I'm doing. I want a solid bag system and want to tow a 25ft +/- boat. Is there a start here for newbies thread? I'm open to all advice and know I need to proceed with caution. I have some welding ability but I'm no pro. Thanks in advance for the help.
Very respectfully,
George
