i used to work at a big cookiecutter type damage repair shop
they pushed cars through in about 2 to 5 days from wrecked to painted (after insurance done there thing offcourse) and put back together depending on the damage , we seen a lot of mercedes taxies during the wintermonths
doing it fast saves on manhours / total cost we worked 8 hours a day 5 days a week though
they had a special split paintbooth with top to bottom airflow and a rail and cart system , while they where painting one car the one before it was drying in the second part of the booth , one painter finished the work of about 5 bodymen and they had about 3 guys putting the cars together again after paint

That sounds like a typical production shop... Hack away and slap some color on then throw it out the door...
