Question on Guages

I recently bought a 1968 GMC Custom C2500 PU. It has a tach in the center of the large speedometer on the left and large gas gauge on the right. On the bottom is spaces for 2 smaller gauges on either side of the steering wheel. The small, lower gauge just to the right of the steering wheel is blank. Was a clock an option for that space?

Also, the truck has 396 V-8 badges on the lower front fenders. These were typically seen on Chevy vehicles. Are they stock, or were they added?

Thanks for your help. I'm new on the forum and enjoying all the information.
