70ptta Registered User Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: san jose ca Posts: 172	What auto trans for a 8.1 vortec swap Hey guys I'm going with an 8.1 vortec in my 72 4x4. I want to keep it auto. Would I need to look for a 4l80e from a 4wd truck or will the 2wd version work?
