buying a fuel tank sending unit
Has anyone bought the fuel tank sending units from LMC or Chevy Duty and what do you think of them? For parts that are harder to get to like this I like to buy from the dealer but the price difference is alot. $250 compared to $80.
I recently replaced my pass. fuel tank due to a hole caused by rust. I seriously considered replacing the sending unit at the same time since it is such a pain to get the tank out but since it has worked fine for 19 years I decided not to. I finished everything and the fuel gague pegs way past full. I know this is a ground problem but I have redone and cleaned all contacts and same problem. Just wondering about the quality of the cheaper ones, would rather not have to replace this again for another 19 years or until the tank rusts.
