Is an 8" dual diaphragm booster enough for my application?

Hey guys, I'm converting to discs up front and need a brake booster. I like the look of the smaller 8 inch boosters but i'm concerned about the amount of pressure they can produce.

Eventually i may use the truck to pull a small open trailer with my mustang on it to the autocross track..I have no experience towing so i dont know what the braking situation is like.

Regardless if i use it for towing or not, If i eventually go to discs in the rear would that affect the performance of the brake booster?
