My 73 C/20 fuse popping issue lighting system

Just thought I would post this for sharing.

My 73 C/20 454 Camper Special decided that blowing the fuse for the lighting system was necessary.

It started out of nowhere.
WHat occured was that the rear lighting system was blowing the fuse preventing all of my rear light system from working.
Replaced the fuse, pulled the headlight switch on and POP.
Must have had replaced 15 of these before I gave up.
Its the 20amp Fuse on the top center left of the fuse block location.

Now, what we did was look over all of the light bulbs.
We did discover that one of the front bulbs was defective.
The glass of the bulb was spinning inside of the brass side of the connector.
I was told that that "could" ground out and cause a similar reaction; blowing fuses.

We replaced that one, and got it all working again, but within 5 minutes, the fuse Popped again.
Still, its on the rear side of the lighting system.

After 7 days random diagnosing, as we didnt have 24 hours a day to trace all of this, the problem was discovered.

The problem was in the Camper Special wiring loom.
One of the wires had worn down and arc'd causing the fuse to keep blowing.

What we did was disconnect that wiring loom at the firewall and re-connected the standard loom back into the existing fuse block connector.

Success!

So, If any of you have the Camper Special option, take note to disconnect this wiring loom if you experience that same issues.

My wiring loom is the factory one that is now 40 years old.

Last add...
I did end up replacing the tilt column turn signal switch just to be sure.
And do NOTE that the 73 years tilt column turn signal switches are unique vs later years
