Hello everyone,
Ive been reading a lot on the site and decided I found a really good place to join.
Im not new to trucks, just the site.
I spent most of the last 10 years in Memphis, Tn. building race cars, fast street cars, and a few show cars.
Unfortunately, I got burned out on the whole scene and walked away from it all. I moved to Houston, Tx where I still live.
So after a year and a half the "itch" came back as strong as ever.
Ive had a few 67-72 trucks and a 69 suburban over the years, and multiple trucks in the 81-87 era. So I knew I wanted another C series truck.
Solid trucks are hard to find in the Houston area. I was very surprised by this.
I recently purchased a 1970 K10 step side. It was a surprisingly relatively rust free truck that spent its life near the salt water of the gulf. After looking at a lot of trucks that were rusted beyond what I was prepared to deal with, I finally found one.
The PO was a teen who had started "fixing it up".
Once I figure out the image thing, I will post a few pics.
