Normally closed brake lever switch

If anyone needs a normally closed lever type brake switch for a cruise control or torque converter lock up switch or whatever, this is what I did. They make the lever type brake light switches in a left and right hand version.
I bought one of each and gently bent the retaining tabs until they came apart.
Swapped the contact plates and reassembled. I had been using a micro switch for the cruise control redundant disengage, but it was not up to the job. A relay could be used but that would have required hacking into the wiring harness for power. This provides a robust vintage style switch with no need for extra wires.
