Like VWNate1 said, the G series vans kept the older style 6-1/4" shaft spacing well into the 80's so those would be your best bet for a direct fit.
The shaft opening holes in the 67-72 truck dash are considerably larger than the radio shafts (the extra space being taken up by the mounting cups). With that in mind, a radio with the narrower 5-3/4" shaft spacing probably would still fit the opening, but the shafts will be off-center of the holes and you'd need some sort of trim bezel on the front to cover up the gaps.

Thanks for the info. That will really help when looking for the correct radio that will fit my dash.
