Last weekend before it hits the Truck Trader on the 30th! Any interest??

$1800 (or so)

Need to sell to fund my other projects. 1971 GMC 1/2 ton 2wd LWB. 350/350TH. no ps or brakes. Pretty solid truck all in all. I originally bought the truck to use the body on my K2500 but I decided to use another cab instead of tearing apart a nice original. I've been using the truck as my daily driver for the past 4 months. Has some quirks but definitely did the job.

Motor runs good but does have a tap in it. I did a hot lash but forgot to check for a broken inner valve spring. I believe that is what it is. Passed emissions with flying colors and does not smoke. I have noticed that it uses a little oil but not bad at all. I believe it to be the original motor. Odometer shows 4K but I can't verify mileage of course. I would have a hard time believing it to have more than 200K though so I've always assumed it had just over 100K when I bought it.

Transmission works well except it hessitates going into reverse and drips fluid.

Interior has original rubber mat in good shape. Seat is solid but needs recovered. No cuts for stereo or speakers. Has a vintage AM/FM but not original. Kick panels on each side are rusted down low. Floor pans are solid but the drivers side is showing some surface rust which should be treated soon. Steering wheel is junk.

The drivers side rocker is solid, the passenger side has a soft spot about the size of my thumb (I pushed on it with my thumb). Supports, corners, backers are nice.

Truck is very straight overall. Drivers fender has a small ding where I encountered a street sign while backing up and also knocked off a peice of trim (I'll post a pic). Rest of the front clip is nice. Grill has small ding on top bar. Passenger inner fender and rad support is rusted under the battery. Fenders have no rust. Front bumper is for a chevy.

Bed is pretty nice. There is a small spot on the drivers rear quarter where it looks like someone tried to push out a dent and still needs to be smoothed. Inside the bed is mostly straight with a few dings. No rust in the rear corners. PO had a camper in it.

Has coil spring rear with leaf helpers, 3.73 gears. Calls for a posi but it's open. Formerly had saddle tanks filled under the wheel wells but they have been removed.

This would make a great restoration candidate or just drive it. Feel free to email, pm, or call with any questions.

I would like to get $1800. I'll have it in the trader by the 30th if it doesn't sell here. As always, a truck is only worth what someone is willing to pay so we'll see what people are willing to pay.
