Camaro gas tank ?

I am curious to know something. I would like to relocate the gas tank to the rear and see everyone using the tanks that go to the bed or to the tail light. I personally would like the thinner profile early model camaro tank that has the filler behind the plate in the rear. My truck is lowered and I dont see many people using them and it seems the most common theme is the other style. My question is this, will it fit within the frame rails and why dont people use the camaro tank more often. Is there some reason I dont know , see , or understand. I have received tons of help from here and love this sight and figured you guys could help me on it. Thanks a ton for all of the help and anything you can offer on this one!! Jerry
