Photos of new wood bed & gas tank install
was able to get a new wood bed and gas tank installed with some help from family over the holidays, wanted to share some before/after pics.
The beginning (PO had relocated gas tank to bed, and that's 47yr old wood I believe). ![]() Bed off ![]() Trying to snap rusted bed bolts off ![]() Cutting bolts off ![]() More cutting ![]() My job was primarily stripping and refinishing the old bed rails ![]() ![]() ![]() Cut the rear out to accommodate the new gas tank ![]() Test fit ![]() Mounted tank and welded in new rear metal ![]() Remounting all the stuff the bed attaches to ![]() And the final results ![]() ![]() Still need to touch up the wood a bit in sports and reapply more water sealant. Next up will be finishing the bed sides with some sort of Rhino Lining or paint. Was a fun project but hopefully one I won't have to repeat for a while haha. Need to replace the shocks but that might have to wait until summer. |
