Finally... 72 4x4 finished

This truck has been painted for three years and i have finally got it going. The back story. I knew this truck as a young boy, it was owned by state trooper who' s son I was friends with. Graduated high school in 1989 and truck disappeared and I never gave it another thought. Fast forward to 2008, working for a tractor distributer during the summer while off from work (teach science and history as well as coach varsity baseball). Low and behold, deliver a tractor on the top of a mountain and there sits the truck, knock on the door, strike a deal and two weeks later truck gets a carb , tire, gas and battery and I drive it home- it had sat for three years with a bad carb in guy' s side yard. Start getting parts collected and in 2009 it goes to paint. I get it back in November of 2010 just before my son was born. I rush to hang parts on the truck and then my wife dies unexpectedly two weeks after the boy was born. I put the truck in the garage at my mom's and basically walked away. In the mean time I started on the 68 anniversary and got it finished in June of 2013, I got the bug to finish the truck- I guess I had healed, and what you see is the result. 1972 swb Cheyenne super, 350 CID engine, factory tach, posi, air, four speed, manual throttle, power steering and brakes, am/fm and tow hooks. I added a set of factory bucket seats and shoulder belts. Truck was painted black when I took ownership, but was the deluxe two tone medium olive poly and white, I did not like the mid stripe but stayed with white top. Truck originally had full wheel covers but the small caps I felt suited it better.
