ECE rear shocks - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I did a search, but can't seem to find the right combination.

I dropped the rear of my 70 with the ECE 4/6 kit and the only way the shocks worked were to place them "upside down". Meaning the larger cup end was at the bottom...they appear to work fine, but I'm a little concerned with water getting into the larger cup and sitting there, and causing rust issues and potential shock failure.

Do I have them incorrectly installed?
