Long bed stepper questions

Hi all,
I've been looking for a stepside long bed, and I had a couple questions;
-Are they rare/low production, hard to find, etc.?
-What's an average going price?
(I bought a dodge long stepper a couple years ago and they're pretty rare (for Dodges) so I paid a pretty penny)
-it is a basic swap for a standard long bed correct?
(I know when I swapped my long stepper on my dodge I just had to change the fuel filler neck but it was a dual tank.)
