OK, it breaks down like this... I wanted to mount the pump as far forward from the engine to avoid any clearance issues with headers, valve covers, steering, whatever. So I moved the steering pump
forward so I could then use the groove closest to the pump to drive it. In doing that, the groove farthest from the pump is now free to run my Air Commander. This also allowed me to mount my huge bracket directly to the accessory holes on the head, and put the super goofey Gm Braket
on top of it - only about an inch forward. get it? It was my only really clear solution short of incorporating the york bracket and the power steering pump brackets into one.
