Can heat from exhaust damage power brake conversion kit?

I am installing a 292 inline 6 in my 1/2 ton and using Langdon headers with duel exhaust. My question is will there be any heat issues running the duel exhaust just below the frame mount power brake conversion kit and next to a 700r4 transmission. One more question is how much space should I leave between steering shaft and exhaust pipe.
