Question 73-78 PS Gear Box Instead of 67-72?

I'm looking at buying a power steering gear box very soon -
possibly tomorrow - and wanted to find out if any of you all
are using one instead of the 67-72 boxes. I understand that
the later box is a faster ratio (?)

I've read up in the search and have seen mention of retaining
the 73-87 external reservior - which confused me. My pump has its
own reservior.

I'll be using a power steering pump from a ~69 292 and lines
for a 67-8 350 equipt c/10. The gear box will be from a 74 or 75,
or maybe I'll shop around some more on price. Does this sound
kosher? Any suggests are welcome.

Thanks to Frank at Pick-M-Ups for the ps pump, the quick
shipment and the insightful knowledge. He even blasted and
painted it!
