New guy few questions

72 long bed 2wd 402 bbc turbo 400 trans has aluminum intake and headers.

Truck is used mostly to cruise around 55-65 but also draging the 1/8 mile. What gears would you guys do? Has the 3.08 I think really high anyway. Tires are a 31 right now but looking to go smaller.

Also wanting to do a carb wondering what cfm and Holley or edelbrock?

And a cam? Which one? Do I have to do valve springs?

Thanks for the help
