need some advice

Hey, guys so I have to make due with what I have available in winnipeg here and thats just my situations of how i started this project.

1. bed sills, has anyone made their own out of 1"x2" channel? or maybe it would be better to go wider? like a 2x2? would this even be possible as long as you have the rear most sill and keep everything flat?

2. heater only no ac options, what are my options available that would let me free up some room in the engine compartment?

3. where is the coolant bottle originally placed withing the engine compartment?

4.the space between the frame and rad support, what does it measure on a 68? if i can get the spacing right i can atleast prefit body panels while i wait for the mount kit to come in.

5.are there any threads or references on the assembly of the long beds?
