the usual load is .035. i run .045 for some things at work, but for some reason my machine likes the smaller wire. it is an inverter power source that will make plenty of voltage, but something about it just welds cleaner with .035. at home i run .035 too. the MM250 will do it with 045 but i dont work on anything that needs that big of filler at home.
