Bosch !@#$%^&
So 2 days before I am to goto visit family in the mountains ( Lassen County ca ) my trucks starts acting like it is not getting fuel. but not to bad. I did nto have time to check it out. I hit snow and ice and every dam other element you can think of on the way up there. But we arrived saftely, despite the car flipping over in front of us. ( fast + ice + no chains = crunch )
Next moronig I go to start the truck and the doors are frozen shut..LOL anyhow I start the truck and it is sputtering still. I posted a question about this like 2 days prior to going. ( dec 23 ) So in the 13 degree snow I get under the hood and look around. I cannot find anything. So we go about our day and on the way back up to the inlaws house going up fordoneya pass I get toppped out @ 45 mph!!! I was ****ing bricks hopeing I was going to make the dam hill. I did make it, took like 30 mins to go 5 miles. I pull into the inlaws and get unbdere the hood and start loking again. My brother inlaw rolls up and say it sounds like the fuel filter. I say ok well it does make sence that if it is choking for fuel.. so I replace them both. no go. So he leaves and I say well lets start with what I know I have done. prior 2 or 3 weeks ago I put new plugs and wires. ( Bosche) So I start with cycl 1 fine 3, fine, 5 fine, 7 Bingo! Cycl 7 plug is royoaly bad. the white part of the plug where the plug wire connects to is spinning in my hand!!!!!!!!!! I will take a small clip of it with the video camara so you can can witness this 1st hand. And to top off the bad plug that is only 3 weeks OLD, the seramic part that is under the little metal lip that you set gaps with has part of the seramic gone.!! can you all guess where it is????? thats right. in my cyclinder wall. SO I am like GOD !#$%#$!%$#!$#%$#%$#%$#!%$#!%$#%$#%$#%$#%$!%$#!%$#!%$#!%$#!%$#! so I looked in my glove box and found a old autolite plug. I cleaned it and re gapped it. restart and bam she is running like a champ again. So we roll home the next day with no problems till today, when driving to chico I pull off highway 99 to park exit and as I come to the stop the truck farts out and dies. I am like wtf???? Of course It woudl not start flooded I guess. after all the traffic goes around and the offramp is clear I shove the truck backwards and the wife streers it dam near into the ditch. I get in and try the truck and it start fine. But will only idle for a few seconds before dieing. So I pull into the ARC thrift store ( the wifes outting ) and look again. I can find nothing again. BUt start the truck after she comes out 1½ hours later and the truck runs fine at high speeds but will not idle. I go home and check out whats the deal here now. I check to make sure the fuel filter is not in backwards. fine. I check the plug wires connections fine. so I check the plug wire in the distributer and the center coil wire is loose. ah! thats it. sure nough it idles fine. so back to the store and half way down the road it starts acting stupid again!! SO when I get to food-4-less I pop the hood and check the coil wire again. not loose. SO i look round again and find nothing. I climb into the engine department with truck idleing ( barley ) and start to push down on each wire on the coil again. I press down on the center coil wire and the trucks idle gets better. so know I am like *&^*&^ Bosche &^&%*^%, breathe &^*&^*&^&^&*^&*^!!! and I find that the center coil wire is bad! plug wires are 3 weeks old. So tomorrow I have to waist my lunch hour and buy new plugs and wires for my trucks. And do not thinkI am letting bosche off for the peice of seramic in my cycl wall. Moral of the story... DO NOT BUY BOSCHE sorry for ranting here.. Rich PS. I am starting a ANTI-BOSCHE Website.
