Repairing Fiber Optics, 72 Blazer. Anyone Know How?
A couple of my GM's, the Blazer and my 70 El Camino SS use fiber optics for certain lighting. The automatic Blazers have one running from a dash light up the shift column to light the gear indicator. The El Camino uses a pretty cool one that runs from the float in the WW bottle to a little indicator under my dash. The bobber in the bottle has red & green. When it's got plenty of fluid, green shows and low shows red.
Anyone know if there's a fix or if replacements are available? I haven't found a supplier yet that even has any knowledge of their existence!
