Quetion regarding Original in cab fuel tank

I have decided to hold off on the under bed tank conversion, funds are not permitting it at the moment and it can always be done later. Here is my question: To make the in cab tank work what is all that I need ? one walbro fuel pump and a new sending unit ? I got my fuel line kit that just came in but I was talking to a guy and he says I need a special sending unit made for EFI ??...Thanks for help on this.
