Unhappy stumped

Im trying to rewire the ignition on my 68 chevy c10 with a 307...thats where the trouble began. Im installing the pertronix coil replacement module and it says if you have a ballast resister wire it one way...if you done wire it another....
Does anyone know if this truck has a ballast resister? It was bone stock before I touched it....it was my grandads farm truck.
I was hoping to crank it today after an engine rebuild.
Thanks in advance for the help if you can.
