A T56 is a very nice option. I wish I could afford one. They are stronger and can hook up to a cable speedo if that is what you want. Check the prices to see if your budget allows. There is an additional cost for the kit that moves the shifter forward so you can use it in a trick with a bench seat.

About the cable speedo. Just 2 days ago I discovered a web page that shows a very practical way to modify and make a Camaro tail housing work for a bench seat. It's brilliant. I sure wish I had thought of it. I can PM more info to you if you want. I have not yet added that info to my website.
I predict that you can install a nice WC Camaro T5 in your truck for under $600 bottom line for everything including drive shaft.
