power steering delete

I want to delete the power steering on my truck. Its a 61 with a swapped in 305 and 700r4. The steering column, pump and gear box are all off a mid seventies Chevy truck (previous owner did all of it). How would i go about deleting the powering steering without changing column? i don't mind not having power steering (my 68 or 71 didn't have it) and i like not having the pump hanging off the motor. any help would be appreciated. also my buddy has a 59 with manual steering and a 350, could we swap setups? His truck has the factory column though.

thanks!
