1967- 6 lug to 5 lug conversion with drum brakes?
I bought some really nice parts the off the parts board they are in great shape.Upon further inspection/assembly I realized that one of the shoes lining isn't on the metal part of the shoe it over hangs by about 1/4'' or less in one area facing outward meaning I think it may hit the drum on the inside again IDK.. I'm wanting to know if this could be an issue or not. I can grind off the rest but would rather not due to these parts being new or hardly used at all... Here is the post where I bought them...Someone also assembled the shoes wrong. When they arrived in the mail the primary shoes were both on one side and the secondary shoes were on the other. I disassembled them and put them the correct way with the primary shoe facing foward on both the assemblies..Here is the thread where I bought these parts. I will eventually machine my own custom brackets as time allows but drums it will be for now on the rear and disks up front... Also I can post pictures if needed of the compleated built drums I assembled. Also the holes for adjusting the shoes have not been ever knocked out of the drums, so I'll have to knock out the knock outs so I can adjust them..
