Body bushings help

So i have a 78 c20 2wd 2 door and my body bushings are toast!!! I got a set of Prothane motion control bushings and set out this afternoon to try and re-bush my truck! so my problem is that when i started pulling the bottom of the bushings off I realized that the sleeve that goes in the middle of the bushing has a washer on the top of it. I also realized that in order to get the sleeve out i would have to push the sleeve up, problem is there is a cab in the way.... so who has done this and were is you link and what are your suggestions for my predicament. you guys have never steered me wrong and i could really use the help.
