Looks Like It May All Be Coming Together
Well it will in a few years anyway
My project started a few months ago when I took a 66 Short bed in trade that came with a bunch of LMC parts to fix the usual floor problems. I took it in on trade sight unseen because I was basically getting it for free and from what I was told it had been sandblasted and was in great shape. The guy I got it from has a big boat repair business on the lake and does bodywork so I figured he might know what he was talking about. He either has mad body skills or just dumped a bad project on me. Either way it was worth it to me for the parts. Fast forward a few months and I've got the body stripped off the frame, found a good short fleet bed, a great cab to repair and will be picking up my front disk brake conversion in the morning. I knew stuff was coming together, but it all seemed pretty far off still until this week. Thursday was my B-Day and my wife surprised me with a Lincoln Mig. Today I started building a cab stand, braced the trusses in my shop for a hoist to lift the cab and made a run to HF to get some body stuff. Today was just one of those days for me that make me realize there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it doesn't all have to be done in one day. |
