suspension differences

Im currently building a 56 chevy pickup it has the lowered axle already with some front leaves removed. I had sids dropped axle fix the steering arm and bought the adjustable draglink to help with the bumpsteer. My dilema is I love the idea of it being a straight axle but not sure how its going to ride. Ive received a lot of great advice from dubie on this forum. And besides the ride quality im still having to add disc brakes and power steering which isnt cheap. So im leaning toward the mustang ii front suspension. Basically since this is a budget build im thinking of buying the crossmember and having it welded in and then getting the parts I need a little at a time. Please help as much as you guys can with info and ideas. I appreciate your help and love the forum.
