finishing up motorhome tilt install... questions

Guys

Ive got my motorhome tilt column rebuilt and back in the 71. PO replaced the manual trans with auto, and sourced a 67-68 non tilt column. So, scrapping that, i found an intermediate shaft and finally have everything back in, but ive got a few questions:

1)Ive got a 5.3/4l60 in the truck and am using stock shift linkage. Shifting the tilt through the gears seems much tighter than the old non-tilt ever was, but im not sure if the shift rod is installed correctly. Too tight and it doesnt want to shift, like the angle is off. too loose and the rod slips. Does the motorhome shifter bracket have to be bent or angled to better line up with the shift rod? Does this bolt have a torque spec?

2)Can anyone tell me the torque spec on the bolt that goes through the bell of the intermediate shaft?

3)Everything ive read says there is no spring between the intermediate shaft and lower column bearing for a tilt. Is that correct?

4)On my truck, the bracket that mounts under the brake booster bracket and holds the steering column at the firewall has 2 bolts. one looks like a body bolt with washer, but the upper bolt is just a longer, smaller diameter bolt. no washer. Is that right? Can anybody take a pic on their truck?

5)Can anyone tell me what size and thread the turn signal lever screw is?

thanks
