1989 in cab wiring harness

The wiring harness in this 89 extended cab I have now was hacked up somehow by a PO and I'm beginning to think I should just try to find a complete harness to put in. This truck runs and drives, but no gauges at all.
It has crank windows, I haven't had a truck with crank windows for years and I'm not loving it. I'm thinking if I am gonna try to find a harness, it should have electric windows.
The yards around here have been rather discouraging about it. They either price it really high because of their labor, or just say they don't mess with it.

Long story short, is anybody tearing apart a truck or have advice?
