Re: Fixrupr
After pressing the pause button on the project for a while I am finally back at it. One thing I can say is that when you press the pause button it takes a little time to get back in the mode and remember what you were doing and why. Like the wiring, got stuck in a few areas and once I got back on it I could not remember why i was stuck. Anyways the new goal is to get it back on the road by the 4th of July.
Started with tightening up a few items in the interior like mounting the converted van tilt. Got it all mounted up in the location that I wanted it and then realized that I did not have the metal floor retainer and the rubber boot. So I will need to remove and get those over the lower shift lever either by bending the linkage or disassemble and slip over. Then been wrestling with the firewall new cardboard pieces, the plastic retainers keep breaking so i will need to come up with another way to fasten. Probably go with rivet nuts with small bolts and large washer painted black to blend. What a pain this is to work with. Found several items that needed paint or needed to be redone so I can move forward with the assemble.
